Senior Communications Designer: Conceptualize and design corporate identities for B2B and B2C companies. Worked with advanced program knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark. Created visually appealing and market savvy pieces. Projects ranged from corporate brochures, exhibits, logos, and advertisements to web page layouts and multimedia designs. Early in my tenure I developed an in-depth quality checklist which ensured minimal chances for error during a project's life. Art direction, conceptualizing, client contact, requirements interview, prepress, quality control, project briefing, and cost control were all integral parts of my day.
Back to TopSenior Graphic Designer: As the sole designer, I developed and created a corporate design division within the Marketing Communication Department. This included purchasing all equipment, software, and supporting material, as well as installation and troubleshooting all arising problems. I was also responsible for the creative direction of the corporation as well as creating and maintaining a vendor list that encompassed all services needed and cataloged all art and logos. Managing duties included print buying, job tracking, scheduling, maintaining budget constraints, meeting and beating deadlines, ordering supplies and materials, keeping all software current, and working closely with the marketing team to create effective, dynamic pieces, which included creating concepts and copy. The project I designed included corporate pieces, direct mail and collateral, ads, booklets, banners, signage, exhibits, charts, illustration, web pages, presentations and numerous other projects that utilize color (strong in 1C through 4C + design), typography, art, paper, and printing techniques. Additional duties involved advanced knowledge in production and prepress areas; these duties included, image selection, image manipulation and colorization, creating clipping paths and montages, making sure all images were at the correct size and resolution, collecting for output, going on press checks, reviewing bluelines, and project briefing.
Senior Graphic Designer: Worked independently and with teams to juggle heavy project loads and produce a large variety of print and multimedia projects from concept to blueline stages in a cost-effective manner. Management responsibilities included training, job tracking, and scheduling. Designed brochures, flyers, logos (corporate identities), marketing/direct mail packages, magazine and newspaper ads, booklets, annual reports, banners, signage, exhibits, charts, maps, illustrations, web pages, web and video animation, and more. I also developed client relationships and worked closely with editors and printers. Additional duties involved editing, copywriting, and prepress.
